Was George Justified in Killing Lennie

I dont think george had the right to kill lennie because no one should be killing anyone and that's most definitely not george's place to kill lennie because that wasn't even his wife that lennie killed. Also mr.curly or george shouldn't kill lennie because lennie is disabled and didn't fully understand what he was doing was wrong
